I became friends with Paulette through one of the small groups she started at our church. Over the years she has become one of my very best friends and an incredible mentor to me. Her marriage ministry, life experience, business expertise and unshakable faith is truly inspiring and just a single afternoon hangout or a friendly phone call with her can transform your outlook on life for the good. Ever since I joined the beauty and the beat sisterhood group I have felt empowered to fulfill God’s calling on my life and been more grateful for God’s blessings and work in my life every single day in a whole new way. Before joining the sisterhood, I had lost hope in my dreams and goals due to a setback. What I've learned in the group thus far, and something that will stick with me throughout, is that life will throw you twists, turns, and curveballs, but how you adapt and pivot through those circumstances is what matters most.

The desire for these dreams to come to fruition continued to grow over the many years, yet I pressed my wants down into this deep space within me called wishes. Through Beauty and the Beat Sisterhood, God shifted my thoughts and turned on the lights. Through revelation, the wishes turned back to desires, and today the desires are rebirthed through actions. Under the tutelage of Paulette Baker I am being stretched and challenged to set dates, put plans into place, and most importantly, working on me, that I might not fold when the challenges come. If it were easy, everyone would do it, right? Paulette has also gone into depth about having vision, and revisiting that vision daily. There is a famous quote that say’s “If You Fail to Plan You Are Planning to Fail” I love my sister’s and am excited to be involved with Beauty and the Beat.
